About the product
TARAA CIRCULAR LOGO is not just a beautiful t-shirt with comfortable fit, we also save precious virgin fiber when making it: we use 50% recycled organic cotton from our own cutting waste. The other 50% are TENCEL™ Lyocell, a cellulose fiber coming from sustainable forestry. It’s our first product that is coming with a circularity.ID®.
Production
This product was made by Valérius Têxteis S.A. in Barcelos, Portugal. The fabric of this shirt was produced in Valérius’ 360 factory which was established in 2017. Valérius’ 360 project itself is a lighthouse in circular fashion. The project aims to implement a circular fashion model, resulting in the most efficient use of resources and consequently less damage to the environment.
As of 2021, Valérius' main factory employs 66 production workers, 83% of which are female. Like all of ARMEDANGELS’ Portuguese suppliers, the Valérius Group have conducted social audits by a number of organisations like Fairtrade, BSCI or companies’ code of conduct audits. They have shared the respective audit reports with us. Workers benefit from Covid-19 and flu vaccines, discount for routine doctor’s appointments and free transport.
